The binder nobody reads
Every independent cafe and restaurant has one. Laminated pages, a few photos, an allergen chart from two menus ago. It gets handed to a new hire on day one and never opened again. Training happens out loud, in a noisy kitchen, to a group half listening, and the guest gets whatever made it through.
Training software was supposed to fix this. Instead it gave owners an empty container and a good editor. You still write everything. You still rewrite it when the menu changes. Completion goes to 100 percent and the sesame question still gets a guess.
