Terms of Service
Effective 5 September 2026. Draft for legal review.
These terms are an agreement between you and MarginWalkers Inc ("we", "us"), the company that operates the Trainseed platform. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using Trainseed, you agree to them. If you are using Trainseed on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.
What Trainseed is
Trainseed drafts staff training from material a business uploads (menus, photos, documents, website content) and delivers short daily practice to that business's team. Drafts are generated with AI and must be reviewed and approved by the business before they are published to staff. The business is responsible for the accuracy of what it approves.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 and legally able to work for the business that invited you.
- Owners and managers can see the training activity of the people they invite. That is what the product is for.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display it so we can provide the service to your business, including sending it to our AI and hosting providers for that purpose. We do not use your content to train AI models and do not let our providers do so. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
Acceptable use
Do not use Trainseed to break the law, to harass anyone, to upload malware, to scrape or reverse engineer the service, or to train people in anything unsafe. We can suspend accounts that do.
Compliance content
Trainseed helps a business practise and track knowledge such as allergen awareness. It is not a certification body and does not replace training that a law or regulator requires you to obtain from an accredited provider. The business remains responsible for meeting its own legal obligations.
Billing
- Plans are priced per location per month in US dollars, as shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
- New businesses get a 14-day free trial. No card is required to start it.
- After the trial, owner features pause until a plan is chosen. Staff can keep practising for a further 7 days.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your billing settings; access continues to the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial months.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email to account owners.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Trainseed available and improving, and we may add, change or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that remove something you rely on. We are not liable for downtime caused by our providers, your connection, or events beyond our control.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time (see Delete your account). We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical. Sections about your content, liability and governing law survive.
Liability
Trainseed is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we will update the effective date and email account owners. Continuing to use Trainseed after that means you accept the new terms.
