Privacy Policy

Trainseed is a staff training and shift-readiness platform operated by MarginWalkers Inc ("we", "us"). It is used by businesses ("your employer" or "the business") to train their teams. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information and we do not show ads.

Information we collect

Account details. Name, email address and/or phone number, role, and the business you belong to, usually provided by the business when it invites you.
Business content. Menus, product photos, item details (ingredients, allergens, prices), notes and training material that the business uploads to build its training.
Training activity. Your answers, scores, streaks, badges, sign-offs and progress. This is visible to the business's owners and managers. That reporting is the product's purpose.
Voice and text practice answers. If you answer a roleplay question, we store the text; if you answer a voice question, we store the recording and a transcript so it can be scored and reviewed.
Payment details (owners). Billing is processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Waitlist sign-ups. If you join the waitlist on trainseed.com we store your email, the industry and location count you chose, the page you signed up from, and basic campaign tags from the link you followed. We use it to send your invite and nothing else. Email hello@trainseed.com to be removed.
Technical data. Basic logs (such as IP address, device type and timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.

How AI is used

Trainseed uses AI to draft training from uploaded menus and photos, to transcribe voice answers, and to score roleplay and voice answers with feedback. This processing is performed by our AI providers (Anthropic and Cloudflare) acting as service providers. We do not permit our providers to use your content to train their models.

How we use information

To provide the service: build training, run drills, score answers, and report readiness to the business.
To send service emails such as invitations and account messages.
To bill the business (owners only).
To secure, debug and improve the service.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers who process data on our instructions:

Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting, file storage and AI transcription), Anthropic (AI drafting and scoring), Stripe (billing), Resend (email delivery).

Your training activity is shared with the business that employs you. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while the business's account is active. You can delete your own account at any time in the app (Me, then Delete account), which permanently removes your profile, streaks and history. Businesses can request deletion of their organisation's data by contacting us. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us, or, where your data is controlled by your employer, contact them, and we will help.

Children

Trainseed is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 16.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped per business with row-level security, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and the effective date, and notify account owners by email.
