Product knowledge training for clothing and specialty retail

Lookbooks, hangtags and line sheets become daily drills on fabric, fit, care and the brand story. Coming soon.

The retail vocabulary is already built into Trainseed. We are opening it to clothing and specialty stores after cafes and restaurants. Tell us about your store and you will hear from us first.

Who this is for

Independent boutiques and specialty stores carrying many small labels, with a floor team that turns over more than 80 percent a year.

The problem it fixes

Brand-funded training tools only cover the brands that pay for them. A boutique with 30 labels gets nothing. New associates learn the floor by shadowing whoever is on shift, and the story behind the $240 jacket walks out the door with every departure.

What you would upload

  • Lookbook pages and line sheets
  • Hangtag and care-label photos
  • Vendor one-pagers and brand PDFs
  • Floorset and planogram documents
  • Your POS or Shopify product export

How the vocabulary adapts

Roles are associate, fitting room lead, cash wrap and keyholder, visual merchandiser, stockroom. Items are styles, brands, looks, floorsets, size charts and promotions. The daily ritual is the Floor Set: set the floor, set the team.

Questions your team would get

  • This linen shirt runs a size small. A customer is between sizes. What do you suggest?
  • Which of these three knits can go in the dryer?
  • What is the story behind the label on the denim wall?
  • A customer wants to return a final-sale item. What is the policy?

Compliance, kept separate

Retailers lose FTC safe-harbour protection on fibre and care claims if staff "knew or should have known" a claim was wrong. Trainseed can keep a per-person record that your team was trained not to overclaim, alongside card-handling, minor labour rules and state-mandated harassment training.
